CHANDRAYAAN 3 VS LUNA 25

                                     Chandrayaan 3 vs  LUNA 25

Chandrayaan-3 is to land near the south pole of the moon on 23 August. But the journey of Russia's Luna-25 will be completed soon. It is launched on August 11 at around quarter to five. On 21 or 22 August, it will reach the surface of the moon.

For the first time after 47 years, Russia is sending its moon mission to the moon. The name is Luna-25. This mission is  launched about a month after the launch of India's Chandrayaan-3.

Chandrayaan-3 is to land near the south pole of the moon on 23 August. But the journey of Russia's Luna-25 will be completed soon.

What is the reason for this –

Russia's rocket Soyuz 2.1B rocket has a height of 46.3 meters. While the height of GSLV-Mk3 is 49.13 meters. The diameter of Soyuz is 2.5 meters.

But the surprising thing is that the Soyuz rocket is worth Rs 401.65 crore. While the GSLV rocket is Rs 389.23 crore. That is, Russia's rocket is very expensive. Luna-25.

Luna-25 will reach the Moon after traveling for five days. Then for five to seven days it will revolve around the moon. After this, fixed near the South Pole.

Russia tried to take the  help of Japanese Space Agency  but Japan refused. Russian space agency has also helped India's ISRO in its moon mission.

Chandrayaan-3 will work on the surface of the Moon for two weeks. While Luna-25 will work throughout the year. The weight of Luna-25 is 1.8 tonnes. It has 31 kg of scientific instruments.

The Russian Space Agency wanted to launch Luna-25 first in October 2021. But there has been a delay of about two years in this.
